グッド、マッシュアップ！

　ブログで話題の言葉をランキングで紹介するkizasi.jpを開発、運営しているきざしカンパニーは2月21日、ブログで話題になっている場所を地図を使って表示するサイト「kizasiおでかけマップ」を開始した。季節に応じてさまざまな場所を紹介する点が特徴だ。

　社団法人日本観光協会が運営する観光情報サイト「全国旅そうだん」の観光スポットのデータと、グーグルのGoogleマップ APIを利用する。具体的には、全国旅そうだんに掲載されている観光スポットの中から、月ごとに最もブログで話題になっている場所を抽出し、Googleマップ上に表示する。

　その際、場所の名前だけでなく、写真や住所、電話番号、場所の解説も併せて表示するほか、ブログでの評判や、リクルートが運営する地域情報検索サイト「ドコイク？」の情報が見られるリンクも掲載する。

Since our last report on the RFID Tribe's RFID map of the world (via The RFID Weblog), the number of points that illustrate RFID Tribe's organizations have increased from 233 to 271, or a growth of over 16 percent within the past two months. While this map shows organizational location, it doesn't put a face on the major influencers within this industry. What follows here is the list of RFID Gazette's top 25 influencers in the industry, grouped by Individuals, Organizations, and Countries.

RFID Update: Summary of Baird RFID Monthly for February

RFID Updateの2007年2月サマリー。

The standard matrix of primary RFID providers is on page 13, and following are the Key Developments:

* Mainstream Press Incrementally Negative on RFID. The Wall Street Journal featured a story on Wal-Mart and RFID on February 15, which suggested that RFID at Wal-Mart "...is showing signs of fizzling." (See Financial Press Considers RFID's Potential for more.) While we viewed the overall content in the article as factually correct, we believe there exist several points beyond the article that suggest RFID momentum continues to move forward, including evidence of reduced stock outs, reduced pricing, and strength with non-retail supply chain RFID applications, among others.

* High-Level Government Interest in RFID. Eight electronics industry associations have formed the RFID Technology Council, an ad hoc organization created to support the U.S. Senate RFID Caucus. Recall that the Senate RFID Caucus was initiated by U.S. Senators John Cornyn and Byron Dorgan in order to promote RFID technology development by educating government officials and the public about the potential of RFID. The eight industry associations are the American Electronics Association, AIM Global, European-American Business Council, IEEE-USA, Information Technology Association of America, Information Technology Industry Council, International RFID Business Association, and the Semiconductor Industry Association.

* DoD Helping to Reduce Stocks of Gen1 Inventory. The Department of Defense announced that it is extending its deadline for use of Gen1 RFID tags. Gen1 tags are now permissible for use in contracts signed up until March 1, 2007, after which Gen2 tags are required. The previous deadline was October 1, 2006. The DoD extended the deadline so that its suppliers would not be left with large quantities of Gen1 tags. Recall, the DoD was late in administratively changing the DFAR clause to require end-user compliance for new contracts, which likely led to lower than expected unit volumes during 2006.

* Meaningful Tag Order Placed. Xterprise reported that it has ordered a total of 4.5 million tags from Alien, Avery Dennison, and Zebra. The order was placed as an asset management project for iGPS, who will use the tags to track reusable plastic pallets. (See Xterprise Makes Multimillion RFID Tag Purchase for more.)

Just watch this video below, it's a really cool IBM commercial on RFID. A pretty lady sitting at a help desk in the middle of a deserted road forces a cargo vehicle to stop. The driver jumps out of the vehicle and questions the lady as to what she was doing in the middle of the road. She informs him in a confident manner that he had lost his way out and when he asks how she knew about it, the lady at the help desk replies that the RFID tags on the cargo informed her that the vehicle had lost its way.

LNEWS: JAL、日本ユニシス／国内貨物計量システムを共同開発

（株）日本航空と日本ユニシス（株）は、ICタグを活用した貨物コンテナ計量システムを共同開発し、実用化した。JALでは鹿児島空港内の上屋に試験的に導入していたが、安全性や作業効率の向上が確認できたため国内13空港の貨物上屋に順次本格導入を進める。

開発したシステムは、貨物コンテナに取り付けたICタグ、ICタグ内の情報を無線で読み取るハンディターミナル、フォークリフト上に設置された専用端末を活用し手入力など人が介する作業を軽減しながら情報を送受信。

空港で登録された情報は一旦東京に設置したサーバー内に登録された後、JALの基幹システムに転送され、航空機のウェイトバランスを決定するために利用する。

コンテナの番号と重量の情報は航空機の離着陸時や飛行中のバランスを適切に保つための搭載計画の作成に必須な情報で、従来地方空港では貨物上屋で計量した後、JALの基幹システムに手作業で入力し、何重にも再確認することで搭載計画を作成してきた。

@IT: 第2回 物理セキュリティとITセキュリティをつなぐ新たな仕掛け

　現在の企業に課せられた大きな課題として、日本版SOX法（金融商品取引法）への対応があります。米国で始まった一連の企業会計不祥事が伝染したかのように日本でも発生し、マスコミを騒がせました。その対策として制定された日本版SOX法も施行時期の延期、費用対効果を疑問視する声などが聞こえてきていますが、内部統制による財務データの正当性確保への要求は待ったなしの状態になっています。

　アクセス制御などを考えた場合、業務の正当性を監査するためには、IT側と物理セキュリティ（フィジカルセキュリティ）側の統合されたログ（監査証跡）が有効となります。従って、システムも統合化された形が望まれるようになってきました。

　例えば、効率的で、強固なセキュリティを確保し、運用者の負担を軽減し、成長性のあるシステムが期待されます。その1つの答えが、本連載で紹介するSSFC（Shared Security Formats Cooperation）です。

　今回は、スペースセキュリティ、つまりSSFCカードを使った入退室管理システムを中心として、物理セキュリティとITシステムとの具体的連携の姿を紹介していきます。

ITpro: 響タグの装着実験に成功、来年度にも実用化へ

　出版業界において、無線ICタグシステムの導入に向けた実証実験を主導している永井氏に、2006年7月に実施したコミックへの響タグ装着実験（過去記事参照）の結果や、今後のICタグの実導入への道筋について聞いた。

―7月の実験では、製本前の表紙1枚ずつに対して、背表紙の裏側にICタグを張り付け、それをコミック本体にのり付けする工程において、ICタグの破損状況をチェックした。結果を教えてほしい。

　ラベラーを使った表紙へのICタグ張り付けは、製本工場とは異なる場所で行い、それを製本工場に搬送した。搬送中の破損について調べると、6738枚のうち1枚が壊れていた。

　残りを使って、製本工程における破損率を調べた。製本工程は2段階ある。コミック本体に表紙をのり付けしてから、背表紙以外の天と地、小口（背表紙の反対側）の3方向を裁断する工程と、それにカバーをかける工程である。前者の工程でICタグが破損したのは5冊、後者のカバーかけ工程では破損は発生しなかった。破損率は、0.07％だった。

ITpro: 響タグを使いカゴ車の紛失を防止、エコスが21日から共配センターでシステム稼働

　大手食品スーパーのエコスが主導するボランタリ・チェーンである「全国セルコグループ運営本部」は2月21日、共配センター「城西セルコ所沢共同物流センター」の運用を開始し、無線ICタグを活用したシステムを稼働させた。日立製作所の響タグ（UHF帯対応）をカゴ車に取り付け、カゴ車の紛失防止と、店舗での荷受け業務の効率化を図る。

　店舗とセンター間を行き来するカゴ車はこれまで、店舗に長期間滞留したり、外部に流出して紛失することが常態化していた。今回のセンターの配送先である53店舗においても、年間に全体の7～8％に当たる1000台がなくなっていた。損失額は1000万～1500万円に達する。これを防ぐため、商品配送時に、カゴ車に取り付けた響タグを読み取って、配送先店舗名とヒモ付けて記録する。空になったカゴ車を受け取るときにも同様に読み取ることによって、個々のカゴ車が各店舗と配送センターのどこにあるかを把握する。特定の店舗にカゴ車が滞留していれば、戻すように要請する。

ガートナー「ビジネス・インテリジェンス・サミット」から

　「ビジネス・インテリジェンス（BI）のユーザーに，今後は“機械”が加わる」。「CIOが挙げた取り組むべきテーマのナンバー1はBIだ」。

　企業の競争激化，RFID（無線ICタグ）などデータを取得する機器の発展，検索技術の劇的な進化を背景に，データを分析する技術・仕組みであるBIに再び注目が集まっている（関連記事）。そうした中，2月20日に開催された「ビジネス・インテリジェンス・サミット」では，最新のBIの動向や導入に当たっての指針について議論が繰り広げられた。ビジネス・インテリジェンス・サミットを主催したのは，ITリサーチ会社であるガートナー ジャパン。
