NTTコムウェアは2月6日、離れて暮らす高齢者宅をさりげなく見守るシステム「Tangibleリモートケア」を開発したと発表した。高齢者宅に設置した複数のセンサー情報から、どの部屋にいるかといった人物の位置や状況を自動認識。家族宅など遠隔地に設置されたデバイスに伝えるシステム。家族宅に設置するのは同社が“Tangibleメディア”と呼ぶデバイスで、光の色の変化やポインタが指し示す位置で情報を伝達する。例えば、リビングにいるときには青、ダイニングなら黄色、お風呂なら緑といったように色の変化で知らせる。双方にTangibleメディアを設置することで、家族宅と高齢者宅間で、相互に生活の雰囲気を伝え合うことができるという。また、プログラムの追加により、「火の消し忘れ通知」や「部屋間移動回数の増減などによる体調バロメータ表示といった機能も追加できる。
