China RFID News: RFID Company Holds Beijing Meetings For Pet Control

Management from Advanced ID, including Seymour Kazimirski, Chairman; Hubert Meier, Director; and Dan Finch, Director and Presiden and CEO, have met with the Beijing Police Department, which is responsible for enforcing pet management micro-chipping.

As part of Advanced ID’s continuing focus on Asia, the company has started selling its Canadian-based ISO standard pet micro-chipping RFID system in China. The company has sold micro-chips in Guangdong and Sichuan Provinces and is now becoming approved to sell micro-chips in the Beijing and the other Chinese provinces.

According to Dan Finch, Advanced ID’s President and CEO, “We are convinced that our pet recovery product line, including our Chinese language PETrac database management software, our ISO micro-chip and our new Chinese character reader will form the basis for the country of China to standardize on the PETrac pet management system and the rest of the Advanced ID pet recovery product line. China is the largest country in the world to mandate pet micro-chipping and Advanced ID’s PETrac is the system best suited to meet the enormous demands of the Chinese requirement.
